Sam Williams

Sam is the Director of External Relations & Deputy CEO of UpRising, a UK wide youth leadership development organisation. An experienced communications and public affairs specialist, Sam has a track record of success in the private, public and third sectors.

Sam joined UpRising from MHP Communications, where he was an Associate Director. At MHP Sam designed and managed stakeholder, media relations and campaign strategy for organisations including Huawei Technologies, Adecco Group, Premier League, Arriva, Wolseley, National House Building Council, Wine and Spirit Trade Association and numerous trade associations. He specialises in developing strategies to deal with complex political and regulatory environments.

Formerly Head of Account Management in the learning and development division of Dods Parliamentary Communications, Sam managed the delivery of communications and policy training for civil servants across Whitehall. Prior to this he worked for the live music company Mean Fiddler, producing some of the UK's biggest music festivals.

Educated at the University of Manchester, Sam is passionate about social mobility, is a school governor in Tower Hamlets and helped set-up a charity in South America that supports young people and women through education and empowerment.
